Our Story
ACORNOLOGY is a landscaping and garden maintenance outfit inspired by the Acorn community in Octavia Butler’s sci-fi novel, Parable of the Sower. Founded by certified horticulturist and artist Michael Queenland, Acornology is rooted in creativity, ecological awareness and awe inspired reverence for nature.
Returning to Los Angeles in 2017, Michael began his journey of putting names to the smells of sages and artemisias that made up the backdrop of his childhood in the foothills of Pasadena and Altadena.
