FAQsThis section holds answers to a few frequently asked questions that generally reflect the approach of Acorn Design. There are many paths to success. If you have a specific question or just want to chat about mountain biking, please don't hesitate to get in touch. What does Acorn Design charge?Depending on the type of job and the scope of work, costs can vary greatly. Before starting, Acorn Design listens carefully and weighs project needs in order to develop a thoughtful estimate. Unless the scope of work changes, Acorn stays within accepted proposals. What is the design process? The most important part of the design process involves the client's information "dump" on the designer. The thoughtful digesting of information on the designer's part is equally crucial. A good graphic designer is a problem solver, and welcomes the opportunity to meet new challenges.
Once the groundwork is laid and the designer and client understand the task at hand, a set of objectives is generally established to act as a roadmap to a successful solution. These are referred to at various stages to ensure the project remains on track and moves in a healthy direction.
With objectives in hand, the designer gets to work on initial concepts. The first round of concepts are presented to illustrates possibilities. A direction is established, refinements are made, real content is placed, and final approval is given prior to production. The production process varies depending on the final product, and Acorn Design will hold your hand and coordinate directly with vendors to successfully fulfill your needs.
What's the difference between singlespeed and fixed gear?Singlespeed and fixed gear bikes have one speed and share much in common. The chief difference is that a fixed gear bike does not allow coasting -- this gives the rider a sense of one-ness with the bike that is not equalled by a freewheeling bike. |
